ABOUT JOHN CURTISS

Right-handed reliever that was originally drafted by the Minnesota Twins during the sixth round of the 2014 Major League Draft. He has also played for the Los Angeles Angels , Tampa Bay Rays , Miami Marlins , Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets during his career.

He was selected from the University of Texas . As a junior, he was named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-American team.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Toronto Blue Jays on August 25, 2017 as a member of the Twins. His team won the game 6-1.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Dallas, Texas. He is one of two siblings.

He collected his first MLB strikeout facing Steve Pearce .
