John Bird

ABOUT JOHN BIRD

British comedian and actor. He starred in the 1990s television series El C.I.D. and appeared in episodes of Cluedo, Absolute Power, and Bremner, Bird, and Fortune. In the 1960s, he performed on the satirical comedic program That Was the Week That Was.

While studying at King's College, Cambridge, he became associated with London's Royal Court Theatre.

He appeared in a 1988 episode of the popular BBC comedy series Yes, Prime Minister. He won two BAFTA awards for his comedic performances.

He was raised in Bulwell, Nottingham, England.

He co-starred with Alfred Molina in the television series El C.I.D.
