ABOUT JOHN BALLESTY
Former rugby player who later became Secretary-Manager for Eastwood and General Manager for the Canterbury Bankstown Leagues Club.
He played for Eastwood Rugby Club before debuting for Australia in 1968.
He was the first player from Eastwood to play in an Australian Test.
He fathered four children: Martin, Brendan, Scott and Kate.
He and George Gregan both represented Australian in international play.
