ABOUT JOEY MENESES

Professional first baseman that was signed by the Washington Nationals in 2022. Prior to the Nationals, he played in the Boston Red Sox minor league system. He played for the Mexican men's national baseball team during the 2020 Summer Olympics.

He first began his professional baseball career in 2011. He received his first professional contract with the Atlanta Braves .

While playing for the Philadelphia Phillies ' Triple-A affiliate team, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, he was named MVP of the International League in 2018. He finished the season hitting .311 with 23 home runs and 82 RBIs.

He is a native of Culiacán, Mexico. He and his wife welcomed a son, Joseph Meneses Guzman, in May of 2023.

He played alongside Luke Voit and CJ Abrams as a member of the Nationals during the 2022 MLB season.
