Hard-throwing MLB relief pitcher who debuted in 2006 for the Detroit Tigers, and became well known during the Tigers AL pennant race.

He starred at Bonita Vista High School before being drafted directly out of high school.

His fastball was clocked as high as 104 mph.

He married Rachel Sanchez early in his career.

He and Justin Verlander , two of the MLB's hardest throwing pitchers, were teamed up for a few seasons on the Detroit Tigers.
