ABOUT JOEL KUHNEL

Professional relief pitcher that was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds during the 11th round of the 2016 Major League Draft. He was drafted out of the University of Texas at Arlington. He pitched at UTA for two seasons.

He is a graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria, Arizona. Originally, he committed to play college baseball at Central Arizona Community College.

He made his MLB debut playing against the St. Louis Cardinals on August 16, 2019. He pitched just one inning and recorded one strikeout.

Although he was born in North Carolina, he grew up living with his family in Peoria, Arizona. He also has a brother named Payton.

Bid McPhee also played for the Cincinnati Reds.
