Singer from New Jersey best known as the frontman for the rock band Rainbow. As a solo artist he has released albums like 1998's "Hurry Up and Wait."

He played accordion and formed the band Ezra in high school.

Once he replaced Ronnie James Dio as the vocalist for Rainbow, the band had unprecedented success in America with Top 40 hits like "Stone Cold."

He married a woman named Maya.

He was recruited by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore to be the new lead vocalist for Rainbow in 1981.
