Professional pitcher that was signed by the Detroit Tigers as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He appeared in his first career All-Star game in 2018.

He began his professional career playing for the Tigers' rookie affiliate team the Gulf Coast Tigers.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Minnesota Twins on April 13, 2017.

He is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He won a silver medal at the 2017 World Baseball Classic playing alongside Francisco Lindor as a member of the Puerto Rico national team.
