ABOUT JOE AVATI
Australian-Italian stand-up comedian whose brand of observational comedy can be heard on live albums like Livin' la Dole-Cheque Vita and An Evening in Montreal. He is also known as the co-creator of the boy band parody act Il Dago.
He moved frequently as a child, attending four primary schools and three high schools. He studied Food Science in college.
At the 10th Australian Club Entertainment Awards, his Il Dago act was named as the Best Comedy Act of 2007.
His parents are originally from Calabria, Italy.
His style of comedy has often been compared to that of Jerry Seinfeld .
