ABOUT JNAN PRAKASH GHOSH
Tabla player of Hindustani classical music who was best known for albums like "Raag Shyam Kalyan" and "Drums of India" Volumes 1 and 2. He composed in the classical, light, modern, orchestral, choral, and percussion styles.
He excelled in soccer, hockey, polo, and billiards as a young man. He was a music producer for All India Radio for 15 years.
He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship in 1974, the highest honor given by India's National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama.
His grandfather Dwarkanath Ghose invented the Dwarkin harmonium.
He and Tanmoy Bose both became renowned tabla players.
