ABOUT JIMMY RANEY
American jazz guitarist who worked with Stan Getz , as well as the Red Norvo trio.
His first paying gig was in the Max Miller Quartet in Chicago.
Towards the end of his career, he was almost completely deaf but could still play professionally.
He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.
He collaborated with Barry Harris on the album Tokyo 1976.
