ABOUT JIMMY CORDERO

Veteran relief pitcher who was first signed by the Toronto Blue Jays as an international free agent in 2012. He was just 21 years old at the time. Since then he has played for the Washington Nationals , Chicago White Sox , and New York Yankees .

He initially began his professional baseball career with Toronto's rookie affiliate team the DSL Blue Jays. After seven games, he was then sent to the GCL Blue Jays.

Best known for his fastball, he has once pitched a baseball at 104 miles per hour. He has gained upwards of 10,000 followers on his baseball-centered Instagram account.

Growing up, he lived with his family in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic. He now has two sons of his own.

He played alongside Gerrit Cole as a member of the Yankees during the 2023 MLB regular season.
