Her mother enrolled her in modeling classes when she was 16 years old, and the experience encouraged her to enter local modeling contests.
She was crowned Reina Internacional del Café 2008.
She was born in Bath, England.
She found her way into politics with help from Bolivian president Evo Morales , who, she initially met after earning her Miss Bolivia crown.
