ABOUT JERRY ABBOTT
Musician and producer who worked on the early albums for groove metal band Pantera featuring his sons.
His production work for Pantera included Metal Magic from 1983, Projects in the Jungle from 1984, I Am the Night from 1985, and Power Metal from 1988.
He was featured on VH1's Behind the Music in May 2006 to discuss the career of Pantera.
He fathered two children, 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott and Vinnie Paul Abbott, both of whom were members of Pantera, Rebel Meets Rebel, and Damageplan.
He also collaborated with Pantera vocalist Terry Glaze .
