She was born and raised in Ormond Beach, Florida. She developed an eating disorder in 2007 which later caused her to be hospitalized.

She made headlines in 2015 after becoming the victim of domestic violence by her then-boyfriend, UFC fighter Travis Browne .

She has an older brother named Justin as well as an older sister.
