ABOUT JEIMER CANDELARIO

Professional infielder that was signed with the Washington Nationals in 2023. He was traded from the Washington Nationals to the Chicago Cubs in 2023.

He began his professional career playing for the Cubs' rookie affiliate team the DSL Cubs. He was signed by the Chicago Cubs as a rookie free agent in 2010.  He was acquired by the Detroit Tigers via trade on July 31, 2017.

He made his major league debut playing against the New York Mets on July 3, 2016.

He was born in New York City, and was raised in the Dominican Republic.

He was once involved in a trade package that included Alex Avila .
