He began playing the drums when he was a child. He was in Tosca, an opera at the Royal Opera House.
He is the drummer for Stealer, a Free cover band.
He left Status Quo after playing with them for fifteen years to spend more time with his family.
He has performed with Def Leppard's Phil Collen .
