Professional pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays during the first round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Cincinnati Reds via trade in November 2020.

He began his professional career playing for the Blue Jays' rookie affiliate team the GCL Blue Jays.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Chicago Cubs on August 20, 2016 as a member of the Colorado Rockies .

He is a native of Latham, New York.

He was once packaged in a trade that included José Reyes and Troy Tulowitzki .
