ABOUT JEAN BYRON
Most famous for her portrayal of Natalie Lane on the ABC sitcom The Patty Duke Show, Byron is also notable for her recurring roles on State Trooper (as several different characters) and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (as Dr. Imogene Burkhart).
After performing as a radio singer, she took acting classes and, while performing in a stage production of Merrily We Roll Along, was discovered by a talent agent. She began her screen acting career as a performer in B-movies.
She appeared in regional musical theater productions of Guys and Dolls and Gypsy.
Born Imogene Burkhart in Paducah, Kentucky, she spent the majority of her childhood in Louisville, Kentucky. In the mid-1950s, she was briefly married to fellow actor Michael George Ansara.
She and Dyan Cannon co-starred in the 1960 soap opera Full Circle.
