Internet sensation who gained fame alongside her fur siblings on the Instagram account bordernerd. Her adorable active and posed photos earned the account more than 170,000 followers. A therapy dog, she brought comfort both to her owner and to countless elderly and hospital patients.
Her owner had been taking photos of Jazzy since she brought her home at eight weeks old in 2003.
Her owner, Aki Yamaguchi, released the photographic memoir Heart Dog in 2014 documenting her and Jazzy's relationship.
She helped her owner through the depression that came with a battle against breast cancer and a divorce. However, shortly after her owner began to make a recovery, Jazzy was diagnosed with cancer as well.
