ABOUT JAVI GRACIA
Spanish former defensive midfielder turned soccer coach. He spent 15 years playing professional soccer before retiring. He has coached teams in Greece, Russia, and Spain. In 2023 he became the coach for the Premier League club Leeds United.
He was born in Pamplona, Spain. He began his professional career in 1989 with Bilbao Athletic.
He coached the Watford team to their second FA Cup final in 2019. He was awarded Premier League Manager of the Month in 2018. He played in over 425 matches throughout his playing career.
He married Mariola and together have three sons, two of which are a set of twins.
He replaced Marco Silva in 2018 as coach of Watford and in 2023 replaced Jesse Marsch as coach of Leeds United.
