Shortstop who won an Olympic bronze medal in 2008 and made his MLB debut in 2010 with the Cleveland Indians.

He attended Buchanan High School in California.

He played baseball at the University of Arizona.

His father was a high school history teacher and coached Jason's varsity baseball team.

Sure-handed, power-hitting shortstop Jhonny Peralta was his teammate on the Indians.
