ABOUT JARED KOENIG

Professional southpaw that was drafted by the Chicago White Sox during the 35th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He was later signed by the Oakland Athletics in December 2019. Prior to his professional career, he played college baseball at California State University, Monterey Bay.

Although he was drafted in 2014 decided to play college baseball instead. After being undrafted in 2016, he began his professional career playing independent baseball for the Monterey Amberjacks.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Atlanta Braves on June 8, 2022 as a member of the Athletics. He pitched only four innings.

He is a native of Aptos, California. He has a younger brother named Ian.

He pitched against Matt Olson and Austin Riley during his MLB debut.
