She comes from a family of theatre actors and started acting in theater productions with her sisters at a young age.
She co-founded the company Persephone Theatre productions with her late sister Susan.
She married Bruce Davis with whom she had a child. She also had two children from her previous marriage to Brian Richmond.
She co-starred as Emma Leroy from 2004 to 2009 with Brent Butt in the sitcom Corner Gas.
