ABOUT JAN AXEL BLOMBERG
Norwegian drummer who is known for his work in heavy metal music. He is best recognized for being the drummer for the group Mayhem as well as the band Arcturus which he formed.
He started his career as a drummer for the band Tritonus. After playing several live shows with Mayhem , he recorded his first two songs with the group for a compilation album in 1989. Then in 1990, he played on the Live in Leipzig album with the group.
He is known for being a three-time winner of the Spellemannprisen award or whats commonly referred to as a Norwegian Grammy Award.
He was born and raised in Trysil, Norway. His first drum kit was purchased by his grandparents.
He was portrayed by Anthony De La Torre in the film adaptation of the band's story Lords of Chaos in 2018.
