ABOUT JAMESON TAILLON

Tall and powerful right-handed pitcher who was the second overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft.

He attended The Woodlands High School, and committed to Rice University before signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates instead.

In 2013 he competed for Canada at the World Baseball Classic, where he was the team's youngest member.

He was born in Florida, but also earned Canadian citizenship.

In 2010, the analytic baseball site Fangraphs named him as the best high school pitching prospect since Josh Beckett .
