ABOUT JAMES B. STEELE
American investigative journalist and author who worked for The Philadelphia Inquirer and Time Magazine over his 35 year career. He was noted for winning two Pulitzers and Two National Magazine Awards as well.
He began his career at the Kansas City Times after graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
With longtime collaborator Donald L. Barlett he has won two Pulitzer Prizes, two National Magazine Awards and five George Polk Awards.
He had a daughter with his wife Nancy.
He cowrote a biography of Howard Hughes entitled Empire: The Life, Legend, and Madness of Howard Hughes.
