ABOUT JAMES RESTON
Two-time Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who worked for The New York Times for many years.
He traveled through Ellis Island with his mother and sister in 1920, while he emigrated from Scotland to the US.
He won his second Pulitzer Prize in 1957 for his five-part analysis of the effect of President Dwight Eisenhower's illness on the Executive Branch.
He had three children with his wife Sarah Jane Fulton.
He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1986 from President Ronald Reagan .
