ABOUT JAMES JUDE COURTNEY

Actor and stunt performer best known for his work as Michael Myers on 2018's Halloween . He'd been on a 16-year hiatus when he took the role in the sequel to John Carpenter 's original 1978 film. He reprised the role in 2021's Halloween Kills .

He's originally from Portland, Ohio and attended the University of South Carolina as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

He also appeared on an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Der Kindestod in the episode "Killed by Death." He is also a stunt worker that has worked on over 5 TV shows.

He was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio, and raised as the eldest of seven brothers in Columbia, South Carolina. He's been based in Los Angeles.

He's said that he paid homage to Nick Castle 's original portrayal of Michael Myers in Courtney's 2018 performance.
