ABOUT JAKE WOODFORD

Six-foot-four inch reliever that was initially drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 39th overall pick of the 2015 MLB Draft. He was drafted out of Plant Public High School in Tampa, Florida. Had he not been drafted, he had plans of playing college baseball at the University of Florida .

He first began his professional career playing for the GCL Cardinals rookie affiliate team. In only eight games with the team, he recorded a 2.39 earned run average.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Chicago White Sox on August 15, 2020. He pitched three innings and recorded three strikeouts.

Although he was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, he grew up living with his family in the Tampa area. He has dated Callie Longo.

He was a high school teammate of Kyle Tucker .
