ABOUT JAKE BIRD
Right-handed reliever that was originally drafted by the Colorado Rockies during the fifth round of the 2018 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at UCLA . During his senior season, he was named a member of the first team All-Pac-12.
He initially began his professional career playing for the Grand Junction Rockies. The following year, he was sent to the Asheville Tourists.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the Cleveland Guardians on June 16, 2022. He pitched one scoreless inningg.
He grew up living with his parents and his three siblings. He is one of four boys.
He was selected to play alongside Joc Pederson as a member of the Israeli men's national team during the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
