ABOUT JACK WITHERSPOON

Chef and philanthropist who rose to fame through the marriage of his leukemia survival and love of cooking. He began raising money for cancer research at the age of seven and, through his fame as a survivor and chef, released the debut cookbook Twist It Up.

At only two he was diagnosed with his first bout of leukemia. When it returned at six, it was then that he stumbled upon the Food Network and fell in love with cooking.

At nine, he was made the pediatric spokesperson of the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation and in 2015 was named the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's Boy of the Year.

He has an older brother named Josh.

He has guest starred on numerous talk shows and cooking series, including idol Rachael Ray 's eponymous series.
