Right-handed pitcher that was drafted by the Houston Astros during the 14th round of the 2018 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Mississippi State University . He even once pitched at Tulane University .

He is a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, Louisiana. While there, he played baseball and basketball.

He recorded a career-high 157 strikeouts during the 2022 minor league season. He also logged a career-high 114 innings pitched.

He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana; but grew up living in Lulling, Louisiana. He married Jess McCain. In January 2023, he and Jess welcomed a son named Liam.

He was selected during the 2018 MLB Draft just like Jonathan India and Alec Bohm .
