He was home schooled and grew up in poverty. He has claimed that this experience helped to shape his independent thinking.

He has taken inspiration from artists like Lil Yachty and Playboi Carti . He posts clips from his music videos on his hoodpharmacist Instagram account, where he has earned more than 210,000 followers.

He was born in Pretoria, South Africa and later moved to Johannesburg.

He collaborated with Yanga Chief on the 2020 single "Ang'na Stress."
