ABOUT IRA COHEN
Poet, photographer, artist, publisher, and filmmaker known for his mylar images of celebrities and for his papier-mache masks of poets. Also an editor, he worked for the Los Angeles-based Third Rail magazine.
He briefly attended Cornell University and Columbia University.
He wrote The Hashish Cookbook under the pseudonym of "Tangier Rose."
He and his wife, Arlene Bond, raised two children.
He was a friend of famous beatnik poet Allen Ginsberg .
