Retired Ukranian heavyweight competed in over 60 professional MMA and kickboxing bouts.

He began his MMA career in 1995 after dominating professional kickboxing.

He was a three-time Absolute Fighting Championship winner and one-time IFC Championship winner.

He was born in Zolochiv, Ukraine.

He suffered a guillotine choke submission at the hands of Alistair Overeem on June 26, 2005.
