Ignatius Wolfington
ABOUT IGNATIUS WOLFINGTON
Stage and screen actor who earned a 1958 Tony nomination for his role of Marcellus Washburn in the original Broadway production of The Music Man. He also appeared in such popular television shows as Gunsmoke, The Waltons, and The Rockford Files.
He studied at the Bessie V. Hicks School of Drama. Later, he fought in World War II, participating in the famous Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of the renowned Actors Studio.
He married actress Lynn Wood in 1972.
He appeared with Helen Hayes in a 1952 Broadway production of Mrs. McThing.
