ABOUT IAN HAMILTON

Veteran major league relief pitcher that was initially taken as an 11th round pick by the Chicago White Sox in the 2016 MLB draft. Since then, he has pitched for both the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees organizations.

Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Washington State University . As a sophomore, he earned first team All PAC-12 honors.

He made his official major league debut while pitching against the Boston Red Sox on August 31, 2018. He pitched just one inning and recorded a shutout. He earned his first save in May of 2023 while playing for the Yankees.

Although he was born in New Hampshire, he grew up living with his family in Vancouver, Canada.

He collected his first major league strikeout while facing Victor Reyes .
