ABOUT HERRICK L. JOHNSTON
Scientist who specialized in cryogenics and was a director of the Manhattan Project from 1942 to 1946.
He was a research scientist at UC Berkeley where he worked on the Manhattan Project during World War II.
He taught Paul J. Flory who won the Nobel Prize in 1974.
He had two sons with his wife Margaret Vanderbilt whom he married on June 14, 1923.
He was influenced by Nikola Tesla .
