ABOUT HERB RITTS
Black-and-white photographer known for his iconic images of celebrities such as George Clooney and Julia Roberts . He made over 15 music videos for world-famous musicians like Jennifer Lopez throughout his prolific career.
He studied at Bard College in New York and later returned to Los Angeles, where he began his photography career by photographing his friend Richard Gere .
He directed music videos for Madonna , Michael Jackson , and Chris Isaak . He majored in economics in college.
He grew up in Los Angeles, California, and died at age 50 from complications of HIV.
He photographed Cindy Crawford numerous times.
