Northern Irish guitarist and former member of Stiff Little Fingers, a highly influential punk rock band.

He and Stiff Little Fingers were originally known as Highway Star.

He became the lead guitarist for the band Teez.

He was raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

He had a profound influence on the styling of the punk rock band Green Day and its frontman Billie Joe Armstrong .
