ABOUT HENRI CHOPIN
Avant-garde concrete/sound poet, artist, publisher, filmmaker, and musician. His best-known works include Poesie Sonore Internationale and Graphpoemesmachine.
He was the son of a Parisian accountant and had two brothers, both of whom died during the World War II years.
His aesthetic involved the use of unrefined sound in his recordings of literary/artistic works.
His wife Jean died in 1985, and Chopin lived with his daughter in England from 2001 until his death.
He and Bill Bissett were both sound poets.
