ABOUT HARVEY SAMUEL FIRESTONE
Founded the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, which was one of the first manufacturers of automobile tires.
He worked for the Columbus Buggy Company after his high school graduation.
He was one of the three leaders of American industry at the time, alongside Thomas Edison and Henry Ford .
He had seven children with Isabelle Smith whom he married in November of 1895.
He and Andre Michelin both pioneered the manufacturing of automobile tires.
