ABOUT GRANT MCCRAY

Major league center fielder that was taken by the San Francisco Giants as a third round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played baseball at Lakewood Ranch High School in Bradenton, Florida. Following his 2023 season, he was named one of the Giants top 100 MLB prospects.

He officially began his minor league baseball career with the AZL Giants rookie affiliate team. If not for being drafted, he was initially going to play college baseball at Florida State University .

He credits Deion Sanders for being one of his biggest baseball influences while growing up. He was also a huge fan of Ken Griffey Jr. .

Although he was born in Montana, he grew up living with his family in the state of Florida. His father, Rodney, played baseball professionally for 10 years.

He was good friends with Dee Strange-Gordon while coming up.
