ABOUT GRANT HOLMES
Major league starting pitcher, baseball player, and athlete who was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers during the first round of the 2014 Draft. A few years later, he was signed to a multi-year contract with the Atlanta Braves in 2022. He has also pitched within the Oakland Athletics organization.
During his senior year of high school, he was named South Carolina's Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. At the time, he committed to play college baseball at the University of Florida .
He made his official MLB debut with the Braves while pitching against the Tampa Bay Rays on the date of June 16, 2024. Unfortunately, he pitched three scoreless innings in a 8-6 Braves loss. He's grown instantly recognizable due to his long, curly brown hair and his goatee.
He is a native of Conway, South Carolina.
He was once packaged in a trade that also included Frankie Montas and Josh Reddick .
