ABOUT GILBERTO CELESTINO

Professional outfielder that was acquired by the Minnesota Twins via trade in July 2018. Prior to Minnesota, he played in the Houston Astros minor league system. He posts family and baseball content on his popular gilbert_celestino Instagram page.

He signed his first professional contract with the Astros as an international free agent in 2015. He started his career playing for the DSL Astros.

He made his major league debut playing against the Baltimore Orioles on June 2, 2021, as a member of the Twins. A few days later, he recorded his first hit while playing against the New York Yankees .

He grew up living with his family in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

He played alongside Carlos Correa and Sonny Gray as a member of the Twins during the 2022 MLB regular season.
