American CEO of Faberge Inc from 1964 until 1984. He has also been a two-time nominee of an Academy Award in the Best Original Song category for his work as a songwriter.

He first trained to be a musician and worked as a salesman for the hair company Rayette in the 1930s.

He created his own production company called Brut Productions.

He was raised with his family in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

He produced the 1973 film A Touch of Class starring Glenda Jackson .
