George Negus

ABOUT GEORGE NEGUS

Australian journalist, author, and television presenter known for hosting George Negus Tonight, 6:30 with George Negus, and Dateline. In 2015, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.

He attended the University of Queensland and majored in arts and journalism. He taught high school before transitioning to a career in journalism.

He published several bestselling books, including The World from Islam and The World from DownUnder - A Chat with Recent History.

He married journalist Kirsty Cockburn, with whom he co-authored a series of children's books.

Carrie Brickmore also became a well-known Australian journalist.
