He worked full-time as a cameraman for sports teams in the DMV area. He made his first appearance on American Ninja Warrior in season 6.

His Instagram feed, which documents his personal life, his training and American Ninja Warrior content, has earned 40,000 followers. Hobbies of his include bouldering and rock climbing.

He has a wife named Jessica and a daughter, Allison.

He and Isaac Caldiero were the first two Americans to achieve "Total Victory."
