ABOUT GAVIN HOLLOWELL

Right-handed reliever that was drafted by the Colorado Rockies during the sixth round of the 2019 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at St. John's University . He was named to the first-team All-Big East after his junior season.

He is a graduate of Montgomery High School. Back in high school, he pitched and played third base.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the San Francisco Giants on September 19, 2022. He pitched just one inning and recorded two strikeouts.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Somerset, New Jersey. He is the oldest of two siblings.

He credits Derek Jeter as being one of his favorite athletes growing up.
